Liam Gallagher Rules Oasis Out of Glastonbury 2027

Liam Gallagher has definitively ruled Oasis out of headlining the Glastonbury Festival in 2027. Despite the Britpop heavyweights sitting as bookmakers’ favorites at 4/1, the frontman took to social media to completely dismiss the chatter.

Shutting Down the Rumors on X

After an Oasis fan page on X highlighted the bookmaker odds, Gallagher delivered a characteristically blunt response. He wrote, “It’s not happening so all you croc wearing flag waving shit c-nts can calm the fuck down.”

He followed up the denial with a comical jab when another user asked what he had dreamed about the night before. Gallagher joked that he envisioned the festival crowd storming the stage and whipping him with flags.

The denial comes shortly after organizer Emily Eavis ruled out Madonna as a potential headliner, telling reporters that she is definitely not on the bill while confirming that festival organizers have secured three other headliners. Following that announcement, bookmaker odds favored Oasis, a notion Gallagher has now put to bed.

Glastonbury Plans and Other Absences

Glastonbury is set to return in June 2027 following a fallow year designed to allow Worthy Farm to recover. Early speculation has pointed toward artists like Harry Styles and Sam Fender as potential first-time Pyramid Stage headliners.

Oasis are not the only legendary rock act missing from the upcoming conversation. Queen guitarist Brian May also confirmed to the Daily Mail that his band will not play the festival, citing ongoing objections to the management’s stance on badger culling.

Looking Ahead to Knebworth

While Worthy Farm appears to be off the table for Oasis, the band continues to eye massive live performances. Promoters SJM Concerts recently secured an indefinite premises license from North Hertfordshire Council for Knebworth House, allowing for events hosting up to 125,000 attendees with live music permitted until 3 a.m.

Although an official confirmation tying Oasis directly to Knebworth has not been announced, the band has not refuted reports that a new tour is imminent. Gallagher himself recently teased future touring plans on X, describing the setup as “the opposite of a farewell tour.”
