The Raconteurs Reunite for First Time in Seven Years at Jack White’s Nashville Concert
The Raconteurs delivered an unexpected surprise to fans over the weekend, reuniting onstage for the first time in seven years during Jack White’s solo concert in Nashville.
Hours before the event, White hinted at the reunion on social media, telling fans in the Nashville area that they might want to grab a ticket for his show at The Truth venue for a special surprise.
A Five-Song Encore at The Truth
The reunion materialized during the evening’s encore, bringing together the complete four-piece lineup of Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler. The band delivered a five-song set that included their breakout hit “Steady as She Goes” alongside three additional tracks pulled from their 2006 debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers.
The performance marks the first time the group has played together since December 2019. Their last studio release was 2019’s Help Me Stranger, which followed an eleven-year gap after their second album, 2008’s Consolers of the Lonely.
Ties to Upcoming Third Man Records Reissue
The surprise reunion coincides with the recent announcement that Third Man Records will focus its next Vault series release on a 20th-anniversary edition of Broken Boy Soldiers. That package is set to include recordings of the band’s very first live concert from March 20, 2006, alongside nine era-specific demos.
Representatives have not clarified whether Saturday’s reunion was a one-off celebration tied to the album reissue and the launch of Nashville’s new venue, or if the band has larger plans in the works.
