1979

Rock history records that Warner Bros. Records issues Christopher Cross ‘ self-titled debut album. Widely regarded as a Soft Rock masterpiece, the LP would go on to win five Grammys at the 1981 Awards, among them Album of the Year , Record of the Year , Song of the Year , and Best New Artist , with Cross becoming the first to win the four major categories in the same year. Rock history records that The LP would launch four hit singles: “Ride Like the Wind” (US #2, UK #69), “Sailing” (US #1, UK #48) “Never Be the Same” (US #15) and “Say You’ll Be Mine” (US #20).

1980

1986

Rock history records that Jackie Wilson had his biggest hit in Great Britain when the re-release of “Reet Petite” hit number 1, almost three years after he died.
