Iron Maiden’s Nicko McBrain Turned Down Golf With Donald Trump
Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain revealed in a new interview that he turned down an offer to play a round of golf with Donald Trump. McBrain, who has played with Iron Maiden since 1982, lives in Florida where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property is located.
Rejecting the Invitation
Speaking to the Telegraph while promoting his upcoming autobiography Hello Boys and Girls, which arrives on October 22nd, McBrain shared how a friend approached him with the invite. The drummer recalled being asked by a Republican friend if he wanted to play golf with the president, to which he responded, “You fucking what?… and I just said, no. No mate.”
While stating he is “not politically inclined,” McBrain voiced sharp criticism of the administration. He cited concerns over narcissism and other controversies, concluding his remarks by stating that Trump and his associates “should be put in jail.”
