Epica Announce 25th Anniversary Royal Albert Hall Show 2027

Symphonic metal mainstays Epica have announced a landmark 25th-anniversary concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Dutch six-piece will take over the historic venue on October 6, 2027, performing alongside a full choir and orchestra as part of their Symphonic Synergy format.

A Milestone Celebration

General ticket sales kick off on Friday, September 4, at 10 a.m. UK time. The band expressed their excitement over the booking, calling it “an absolutely magical experience” and adding, “Hearing our music come alive in a way it is supposed to sound, on such an iconic stage, will be a moment we’ll remember forever.”

The Royal Albert Hall gig is currently the only show on Epica’s slate set to feature an orchestra and choir. The show forms part of a larger, yet-to-be-announced world tour.

Tour Plans and Legacy

Epica is currently touring to promote their 2025 album Aspiral, with an Asian run heading to Tokyo and Shanghai this month. Their 25th-anniversary festivities will kick off in January with three sold-out shows at the Royal Theatre Carre in Amsterdam, followed by a Latin American trek in March supported by Fleshgod Apocalypse.

Guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen founded Epica in 2002 after exiting After Forever. Joined by keyboardist Coen Janssen and singer Simone Simons later that year, the trio is the only people to have performed on every Epica album. The band has sold more than one million albums worldwide.
