Rod Stewart Schedules 2027 Tour Dates Following Heart Stent

Rod Stewart is preparing to return to the road early next year after suddenly halting his 2026 tour to undergo a routine coronary stent procedure. The former Faces frontman shared that he has recovered quickly from the operation.

“I’m already feeling better and very much on the mend,” Stewart said in mid-August. “I’m deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”

So far, Stewart has confirmed five upcoming U.S. shows, with three slated for March 2027 and another two following in September. He still had 15 stops scheduled through mid-September when he canceled an August 9 concert in Cincinnati due to an unforeseen medical procedure requiring prompt attention.

Stewart faced multiple health hurdles over the summer. He canceled a string of Las Vegas residency dates due to a sinus infection. He scrubbed a San Diego performance because of laryngitis. He also required oxygen in June after nearly fainting onstage in Utah. His wife, Penny Lancaster, noted that doctors ordered the break to manage risk factors before returning to his high-energy performances. “He doesn’t just sit down on a stool or behind a piano,” Lancaster explained. “He runs around for nearly two hours with four different costume changes, because he’s sweating through everything.”
