The Rolling Stones Announce ‘Foreign Tongues’ Deluxe Edition
The Rolling Stones have announced Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips, the deluxe edition of their 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, which was released earlier this year. The expanded version is set for release on Nov. 27.
Expanding the Track List
The deluxe release adds five songs to the original album’s track list. Among them is the previously exclusive iTunes bonus track “Bad Luck Hideaway.” Four additional songs will be available for the first time: “Where There’s a Will,” “She Still Comes Around,” “Who You Callin’ Crazy,” and “Human Tide.” These new tracks will also receive a standalone vinyl press to accompany previously released editions of the album.
Reuniting With Producer Andrew Watt
For Foreign Tongues and its new deluxe companion, the band teamed up with producer Andrew Watt. The partnership follows their previous collaboration on the 2023 Grammy-winning album Hackney Diamonds.
Speaking to Rolling Stone last year prior to the album’s announcement, Watt described the experience of working with the legendary group. “I’ve said it before, but it’s like working for Batman,” Watt said. “When the tongue is up in the air, you just go… I can say we did some recording together, but that’s all I can say.”
Watt also reflected on his lifelong fandom. “If I revealed how many Rolling Stones concerts I’ve been to, I don’t think the band would ever talk to me again,” he said. “I’ve seen them in the rafters. I’ve seen them up close. I’ve lived this band as a fan. I wore a different Stones shirt in the studio every day. I should’ve been ejected from the control room. The number one thing I would tell the band in the studio is, ‘You took a freak from behind the barricade and let him produce the album.’”
