Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s Historic Final Show Heading to Home Video and Vinyl
The historic final concert from Ozzy Osbourne and the original lineup of Black Sabbath is officially heading to home video and vinyl. Mercury Studios has announced comprehensive home releases capturing Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning, arriving on December 11.
The massive all-day event took place at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5, 2025, drawing 44,000 attendees in sold-out minutes and a global livestream audience exceeding five million people. The not-for-profit gig raised an estimated £6–7 million for the charities Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Acorns Children’s Hospice, and Cure Parkinson’s. The home release arrives on the same day the film hits cinemas.
Format Options and Deluxe Editions
Fans can choose from several physical and digital configurations for the home release. Available bundles include Blu-ray/CD and Blu-ray/2LP options, each featuring the complete 147-minute concert film alongside full sets from both Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band.
Bonus features packaged with the sets include video tributes to Ozzy, guest performances featuring Jack Black tackling “Mr. Crowley” and Fred Durst singing Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” a behind-the-scenes featurette, and a documentary exploring Ozzy’s hometown titled Sounds Of Birmingham. A digital live soundtrack featuring the core Sabbath and Ozzy sets will also drop on December 11.
For dedicated collectors, a deluxe box-set arrives in April. This expansive package features every Sabbath and Ozzy cover performed by the 35 artists who took the stage, spanning three Blu-ray discs, two CDs, three LPs, and a 72-page hardback book. Pre-orders for all formats are currently live.
A Star-Studded Farewell
First announced in February 2025, the event marked the original Black Sabbath lineup’s first time sharing a stage together since 2005. The star-studded lineup featured heavy metal giants and contemporary acts alike, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Gojira, Mastodon, Halestorm, and many more.
