Art Garfunkel Postpones UK Tour Just Days Before Opening Night
Art Garfunkel has postponed his upcoming series of UK concerts less than a week before the tour was due to begin. Management issued a brief statement confirming the schedule change, citing unforeseen circumstances behind the decision.
“We regret to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Art Garfunkel’s October shows have been postponed,” management stated. Ticket holders have been advised to retain their tickets while organizers work to secure rescheduled dates.
Affected Tour Dates
The tour was originally scheduled to kick off at the Watford Coliseum on October 13th. From there, the itinerary included a stop at Manchester’s Opera House on October 15th, followed by a headlining appearance at The Civic Halls in Wolverhampton on October 17th, and a performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 19th.
Management confirmed that they are currently working to reschedule the performances and will announce new dates as soon as they are finalized. The statement concluded with an apology to fans: “We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this postponement may cause and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.”
Recent Live Schedule Disruptions
The sudden UK postponement follows a string of recent cancellations in the United States. On September 25th, Garfunkel called off a show at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco just two days before the event, also pointing to unforeseen circumstances. Subsequent performances in Arizona and Los Angeles were postponed for the same reason.
Prior to these cancellations, the 84-year-old singer last performed in June at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. In a recent interview, Garfunkel expressed a renewed dedication to performing, sharing that he had been singing much more than at any point in the last two decades.
