Queens of the Stone Age Announce 2027 Tour and New Album ‘Perfecth’
Queens of the Stone Age have laid out plans for a massive North American arena tour, slated for the spring of 2027. The upcoming run follows the band’s previously announced international stops and features support from Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp on all dates.
The tour kicks off on May 1 at San Diego’s Viejas Arena and wraps up on May 24 at TD Garden in Boston. Along the way, the band will hit iconic venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
New Album ‘Perfecth’ Arrives in October
The headlining tour supports Queens of the Stone Age’s ninth studio album, Perfecth, arriving on October 30 via Matador Records. Produced by frontman Josh Homme and Michael Shuman, the record features nine tracks.
The album’s tracklist includes:
- It’s Only Love
- Insignificant Other
- Where The Goth Girls At?
- Mono
- From The Cliff
- Sunday
- Easy Street
- Phantom Limb
- Run Away From The Mob
Speaking about the record, Homme explained that the title reflects a tongue-in-cheek perspective. "Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth,’" he said in a statement. "And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone."
Homme added that the songs were deliberately crafted to evoke different worlds while exploring themes of love, lust, foolishness, and hard-earned wisdom. Perfecth will be available on CD, standard black vinyl, clear vinyl, and as a limited Deluxe Edition featuring handwritten lyrics, stationary, and a bespoke piece of art.
Josh Homme Opens Up on the Realities of Touring
Ahead of the album’s release, Homme reflected on the isolation that can accompany life on the road. In an interview with Zane Lowe, the frontman discussed how the touring lifestyle can foster a sense of arrested development, noting that after leaving the stage, his interior loneliness often intensifies.
As a father who secured sole custody of his three children following his 2019 divorce, Homme shared that being away from family deepens that distance. "When you have a family, and you finally have something that’s more important than music, that distance gets really loud," he noted, while emphasizing that he was not complaining about his career.
