Nita Strauss Rejoins Alice Cooper for Las Vegas NFL Halftime Show
Guitarist Nita Strauss has made her return to the stage with Alice Cooper, marking her first live appearance with the band since stepping away earlier this year for maternity leave. Strauss, who welcomed a son in May, joined Cooper and his band at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, during the halftime show for the NFL matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Reflecting on the appearance via Instagram, Strauss shared that she made a quick trip to Las Vegas for a short, fun set, noting it was a heartbreaking end to the game, though the band had a blast. The group powered through three old-school classics during the brief performance: "No More Mr Nice Guy," "I’m Eighteen," and "School’s Out." Despite the classic rock injection, the set could not carry the Raiders to a win, as the Chiefs secured a narrow 30-27 victory.
Upcoming Tour Dates and Residencies
Strauss’s return to the live fold is set to continue later this year. She will head back to Las Vegas in November as Cooper resumes his Welcome To My Nightmare residency alongside magician Criss Angel.
Cooper expressed enthusiasm about having his guitarist back in the fold to wrap up the year, noting that Strauss originally opened their touring season in March. While temporary replacement Anna Cara continues handling guitar duties for upcoming tour stops, Cooper’s schedule remains packed. Alongside his ongoing literary commitments for his new memoir, Devil On My Shoulder, Cooper continues his Alice’s Attic tour across North America through November.
