Rod Stewart Adds New Dates to 2027 Farewell Tour Due to High Demand
Rod Stewart has added selected additional dates to his upcoming UK and Ireland farewell tour next year, responding to massive demand after tickets initially went on sale.
The legendary rocker announced his final run, titled The Final Encore, on September 28, marking the end of more than six decades on the road. “My dear friends, the time has come to say farewell to life on the road,” Stewart said in a statement. “After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last.”
Expanded UK and Ireland Schedule
With existing tickets for the leg largely selling out, Stewart has introduced new shows to accommodate more fans. The newly added performances include a second night in Dublin at the 3Arena on April 24, alongside extra gigs in Glasgow on May 1, Manchester on May 8, and London on May 14.
The updated 2027 UK and Ireland itinerary includes:
- April 23 — 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland
- April 24 — 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland
- April 27 — SSE Arena, Belfast, UK
- April 29 — OVO Hydro, Glasgow, UK
- May 1 — OVO Hydro, Glasgow, UK
- May 4 — Utilita Arena, Birmingham, UK
- May 6 — Co-op Live, Manchester, UK
- May 8 — Co-op Live, Manchester, UK
- May 11 — The O2, London, UK
- May 14 — The O2, London, UK
Health Hurdle Clearances and Future Plans
The farewell announcement follows a challenging period of health setbacks earlier in the year. Stewart was forced to cancel multiple Las Vegas residency performances and an entire North American tour in August after undergoing a heart procedure and dealing with an upper respiratory infection resulting in laryngitis.
Prior to his UK and Ireland dates, Stewart will complete a short US run in March 2027, followed by an extensive European tour throughout the summer. He is ultimately scheduled to return to the US later in the year for what are currently tipped to be his final-ever shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on September 2 and 3.
